Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2017 – Sauternes

The nose is fresh,fruity, elegant, precise and offers a beautiful definition, fullness as well as a good aromatic range. It reveals notes of bee wax, fresh yellow fruits, quince and mirabelle associated with small touches of pear confit, crushed apple, peach, honey, roasted pineapple as well as subtle hint of jam, subtle hint of spices and a very discreet hint of fennel (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, juicy, aery, precise and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful balance as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of white fruits in syrup, peach in syrup, roasted pineapple and lemon confit associated with small notes of almond, kumquat, spices, subtle touches of nut (in the background) as well as a very discreet hint of mango confit and dry apricot on the finish. Good length.
