Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2014 – Sauternes

The nose is spicy, mineral and offers deepness, breadth and elegance in its grain. It reveals notes of quince, nutmeg and small notes of dried ginger associated with touches of dried flowers, dried pineapple as well as fine hints of candied small yellow fruits, acacia and spices. The palate is beautifully fresh, mineral, beautifully fruity and offers a tangy frame, energy, brightness, a beautiful floral side (which balances/elevates the palate), accuracy and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of quince, pineapple in syrup and small notes of acacia associated with touches of lemon blossom, fine hints of small yellow jammy fruits, sweet quince as well as a hint of eucalyptus, ginger and delicate hints of spices. Good length.
