The nose reveals notes of strawberry, blackberry, chocolate and caramelized oak combined with touches of crushed redcurrant and a subtle hint of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, a slight suavity, a slight density, a slight depthness, a nice grain as well as a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, fleshy strawberry and crushed redcurrant combined with a subtle hint of wild raspberry, chocolate / cocoa, toasted oak, spices and a subtle hint of licorice (in the background) and a discreet hint of cardamom. Tannins are well-built. There is an imperceptible touch of Bourbon vanilla on the persistence.
