Château Barre Gentillot – Révélation 2022 – Graves de Vayres

The nose is fresh, racy, straight and offers a stretched side as well as a very fine spicy side. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, gray pepper and small notes of small pulpy/fresh red fruits associated with touches of graphite, fresh tobacco, a hint of fresh pepper as well as a subtle hint of clove. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, tension, fat, a certain purity, roundness, a slight roundness as well as a fine creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and small notes of blueberry associated with touches of small creamy/fresh blue fruits, hints of racy minerality, a subtle iodine hint as well as a discreet sappy hint (in the background) and of toasted hazelnut. The tannins are precise and fine. A discreet powdery side on the finish/persistence.
