Château Barre Gentillot – Inspiration 2023 – Graves de Vayres

The nose is spicy. It reveals notes of pepper, blackberry and small notes of fresh violet associated with touches of small blue fruits, small pulpy/shiny red fruits as well as hints of star anise. The palate is nicely mineral, fruity and offers freshness, tension, accuracy, a tangy frame, a stretched/taut side as well as a fine spherical side of the material. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, morello cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of cornflower, toast as well as fine hints of toasted almond. The tannins are finely mellow and discreetly tight. A subtle hint of roasting in the background.
