Château Barrail Saint-André 2023 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose offers pulpiness, a certain depth and a fine power. It expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly – pepper associated with touches of cornflower, rosemary and fine hints of roasted-juicy berries and a discreet hint of camphor. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, juiciness, roundness, suavity, a tangy frame. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/fleshy blackcurrant and more slightly – cornflower associated with touches of camphor, cardamom and fine hints almost of roasted-juicy berries, black tea/infusion. Good length. A subtle hint of mocha in the background, mellowness on the finish/persistence
