Château Badette 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers richness, good definition and a certain elegance. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed blackberries and more slightly fleshy / fresh strawberries associated with fine touches of toasted, blueberry, fine hints of graphite, chocolate, a subtle hint of green cardamom as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers a nice freshness, minerality / a mineral structure, a little acidity, a little roundness, a fine palatability as well as a little controlled richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy cassis and more slightly fleshy / fresh raspberry associated with touches of lily, fresh small fruits, hints of toasted hazelnut, almond as well as fine hints of cocoa with a subtle hint of vanilla and a very discreet hint of pepper. Good length. Presence of a small chewiness on the finish / persistence.
