The nose is fruity and offers fine intensity, freshness and a fine grain. There are notes of concentrated blackberry, concentrated blackcurrant and more slightly wild strawberry combined with hints of crushed blueberry and fine toasted/caramelised notes and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced, fruity and tense. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and slightly juicy/pulpy blueberry notes combined with a touch of tart red berry fruit as well as fine hints of vanilla, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of spice. The tannins are pronounced and dry. A very discreet hint of roast (in the background) and positive cocoa bitterness.
