The wine has a deep ruby color. It has an open and expressive bouquet of aromas: there are notes of black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, blueberry), red fruits (strawberry, red cherry) with a slight sweet touch of cherry jam (in the background). On the second nose, we can feel floral notes of violet and peony, as well as spices (licorice, clove, black pepper). On the palate, the attack is juicy, on ripe fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry), and the mid-palate is rather spicy, with savoury notes of black pepper, liquorice, bitter cocoa and dried herbs. The tannins are quite powerful, but well integrated, thanks to the substance in the mouth and the juiciness of the fruits, as well as good acidity. The finish is long, fruity and round, with pleasant spicy notes. A racy, structured and concentrated wine, with good aging potential.
