The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers richness. It reveals notes of chocolate, crème de cassis, crushed redcurrant and crushed strawberry combined with touches of cardamom, Bourbon vanilla as well as subtle toasted hints and an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very slightly tight and offers a fine mineral frame, a fine acidity, a fine suavity, a good structure and a fine tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy redcurrant and juicy raspberry combined with slight touches of juicy blackberry, plum as well as toasted oak, discreet hints of caramelization and a subtle touch of vanilla Bourbon. Tannins are well-built and chewy. Good length.
