Château Alcée 2024 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fragrant, fruity and expresses notes of juicy red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry and crushed red currant, combined with a hint of licorice, fresh wood, fresh pine needles, peppermint, blackcurrant and blueberry in the background, as well as hints of nutmeg, rose petals and violet. The palate is silky, enveloping, but tangy and straight, with a chocolatey touch of cocoa nibs. It also expresses notes of dried mint, licorice, nutmeg, white pepper in the background, fresh wood, toasted hazelnut, dried pine needles, dried blueberry, wrapped in a fresh fruity substance (juicy red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry and red currant). The tannins are enveloping, fine, powdery, not catchy. Good length with a slight mineral hint on the persistence.
