The nose is fruity, elegant and reveals aromatic purity, a certain density and a nice fleshy/juicy fruit. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, bright blueberry and more lightly of fleshy wild strawberry combined with hints of liquorice, a touch of violet, sap, racy minerality as well as fine hints of crushed raspberry, graphite, tea (in the background), discrete hints of mocha and a very discreet touch of grey pepper. The palate is nicely fresh, juicy, balanced and reveals brightness, gourmandize, a nice acidic backbone, a nice energy/dynamism, a fine dark fruit character (in the background) as well as aromatic purity. On the palate this wine expresses bright blackcurrant, bright cherry and slightly juicy blueberry notes combined with hints of blueberry, star anise, fine cardamom, camphor as well as fine toasted hazelnut, graphite, a hint of almond and a subtle hint of almond. The tannins are elegant and racy. Good length. A very discreet sappy hint at the end, almost minty.
