Chapelle de Labrie 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers power, a fine grain and a fine richness/concentration. It reveals notes of wild cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of small fruits associated with very fine touches of ripe strawberry, a very discreet hint of violet/black plum (in the background) as well as slight hints of spices, pepper and graphite. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, freshness, tension as well as a beautiful definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of crunchy wild strawberry associated with very discreet hints of juicy/fresh black plum as well as very discreet hints of flowers, toasted, graphite and a hint of black pepper. Tannins are elegant. Good length.
