Champagne Michel Gonet – Blanc de Blancs 2010 – Extra-Brut – Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic and offers elegance, as slight intensity / concentration as well as a racy minerality. It reveals notes of quince, kumquat and slight notes of flowers / rose associated with small touches of dried fruits, dried mandarin as well as subtle hints of beeswax / spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, dynamic, well built, racy (limestone) and offers a beautiful acid frame, a beautiful minerality, straightness as well as a good definition. The effervescence is slightly creamy, very fine and dynamic. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of juicy lemon, Granny Smith apple and slight notes of yellow fruits, quince associated with a subtle hint of apricot, beeswax, brioche and spices. Good length. There is a slight hint of almond / oak on the finish / persistence.
