Châeau Lamothe Bergeron 2023 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is spicy and woody, but gourmand and a bit sweet. It expresses notes of vanilla, even slightly of coconut, of chocolate, a fine sappy hint and aromas of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg), associated with a juicy fruitiness (morello cherry wild strawberry, red plum, blackcurrant) and floral notes of peony and violet. The palate is elegant and savoury It expresses the flavors of chocolate, liquorice, cocoa, morello cherry, wild strawberry, blackcurrant, as well as peony and violet on the finish. The tannins are silky, very fine, sapid and melted. The finish is gourmand, on chocolate with mint and morello cherry, refreshed by a nice acidity. The palate is full of finesse, subtlety and balance, supple, with volume and elegance.
