The nose is elegant, racy, beautifully built, well-balanced and offers power (in finesse), a small straightness, a beautiful freshness and an aerial side. It reveals notes of liquorice, dry blueberry, cooked cassis, small notes of dry wild strawberry associated with fine touches of dry violet, sense of the place/terroir as well as very fine hints of sugared mild tobacco and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmand, beautifully defined, precise and offers juiciness, a fine freshness, a small acidulous frame, richness (in elegance), suavity, complexity and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ripe wild cassis, pulpy/ripe Boysen berry, small notes of cooked blueberry associated with small touches of wild strawberry, crushed redcurrant as well as hints of camphor, toasted/caramelization, dry almond, tonka bean and a subtle hint of aromatic herbs/mushroom (in the background). Good length. Tannins are elegant, well-built and very finely marked.
