The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. It offers a gourmand, concentrated, slightly roasted nose. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, red plum, wild strawberry, a hint of prunes and dried blackcurrant in the background. We also find notes of dried bay leaf, fresh rosemary, thyme flower, roasted bouquet garni and a hint of balsamic. After aeration, the wine expresses aromas of crushed peppermint, sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, cherry in chocolate, as well as a delicate touch of toast, coffee and a herbaceous touch of green olive, which brings freshness to the wine. The aromas are also complemented by floral notes of lilac and violet. The palate is silky, with melted tannins, but structured, even tight, without being astringent, thanks to the concentration and a juicy and slightly sweet fruity substance. The palate expresses the flavors of crushed morello cherry, fresh strawberry, red currants, tart red cherry, as well as dried red cherry, cocoa, dried peppermint, fresh thyme, bay leaf, fresh rosemary. We also find floral notes of lilac, dried rose, bitter cocoa, a mineral touch (reminiscent of gravel and graphite) and torrefaction (toasted bitter almond, coffee). The finish is long, with salivating acidity, good bitterness and a powdery tannins. At the very end of the palate, we also find delicate tertiary notes of dry tobacco and wet leaves. A complex, concentrated and fresh wine, which reveals itself gradually during tasting.
