Cecchi – Riserva di Famiglia 2014 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is fruity and offers a slight freshness as well as a slight intensity / concentration. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, ripe wild raspberry and small touches of cassis associated with small hints of minerality, woody hints, toasted / caramelized hints as well as discreet hints of olive tree, grove, a very discreet hint of spices and an imperceptible hint of tea. The palate is fruity, beautifully fresh, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight acidity (in the background), a small suavity, a small gourmand side as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, juicy red berries and small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of toasted oak, fresh cherry, dried flowers, ripe / crushed blueberry as well as small hints of spices, cardamom, racy minerality and a very discreet hint of black olive.Tannins are fine, slightly firm and slightly grainy. Good length. There are very slight touches of liquorice and tonka bean / cocoa on the finish. The finish is a bit gourmand.
