The nose is fruity. There are notes of bright violet plum, blackcurrant and, more slightly, bright bigarreau cherry combined with fine touches of cherry blossom, raspberry and a discreet hint of spice and black olive. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh, mineral, chiselled, silky, well defined and reveals a certain gourmandize, delicacy and a certain fine power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cherry, purple plum and more slightly acidic red currant combined with fine touches of sense of place as well as fine hints of star anise, pepper and a subtle hint of sage in the background. Saline and silky.
