The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is fragrant and spicy, with notes of roasting that gradually reveal themselves. Firstly, aromas of fresh liquorice stick, cardamom, vanilla, and star anise emerge in the background, combined with notes of roasted bouquet garni, dried bay leaf, roasted meat, toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, and smoke. The savoriness is enveloped in fresh fruit (ripe morello cherry, wild strawberry, blackberry, wild raspberry, fresh blackcurrant, and blackcurrant jam) and a hint of mint and sweetness (wild mint). There are also notes of dark chocolate and coffee. The attack mirrors the initial nose with flavors of spices and roasting (liquorice, crushed cardamom, vanilla, star anise, ground cinnamon, coffee, toasted hazelnut, cocoa), complemented by tertiary notes of dried tobacco, undergrowth and dried rose, as well as a chiseled and tanginess of red cherry and cranberries. The mid-palate offers gourmandise, ripe fruit, slightly sweet (ripe morello cherry, red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, cranberries), as well as a touch of roasted aromatic herbs, dried mint and smoke. The tannins are polished, velvety and well-structured. Good acidity and a tangy finish, on red fruits.
