(organic) The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is woody and spicy at the opening. It firstly expresses aromas of toasted wood, smoke, toasted almond, coffee and cocoa, combined with hints of tonka bean, white pepper, dried liquorice and cardamom. The fruitiness on the nose combines notes of fresh fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry), roasted fruit (roasted red cherry) and dried fruit (roasted raspberry, roasted red cherry). There are also notes of tobacco, dried mint, dried rose and an earthy mineral hint. The palate offers a certain complexity and concentration. It expresses notes of dried red cherry, fresh morello cherry, roasted morello cherry, crushed raspberry and dried blackcurrant, combined with spicy and roasted touches, which reflect the aromas on the nose (liquorice, tonka bean, nutmeg, crushed cardamom, toasted wood, toasted almond, coffee, cocoa). The tannins are fine, but quite solid. The finish is chiseled, juicy and tangy, rather persistent. It adds to the aromatic profile of the wine the notes of dried tobacco, dried mint and dry gravel.
