The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is concentrated, dense, gourmand, and juicy. It expresses notes of chocolate-covered morello cherry, wild strawberry, roasted red cherry, ripe red cherry, red fruit jam, as well as wild blackberry and cranberry syrup. After aeration, spicy and toasted aromas (liquorice, toasted coriander seeds, a hint of vanilla, chocolate, toasted almond, and coffee) emerge. There is also a pleasant herbal (dried mint, mint chocolate, rosemary syrup) and floral (peony, iris) side. The palate is precise and straightforward, with a distinct mineral framework on the attack (limestone, dry earth), which is then complemented by flavors of fruit (tart red cherry, dried red cherry, raspberry, crunchy frieze, blackberry), roasted (coffee, smoke, toasted almond) and spices (gray pepper, nutmeg, licorice). The tannins are finely tight, powdery and well-structured. The finish also expresses flavors of chocolate with mint and peony, combined with a hint of fresh tobacco and amarena cherry. Good persistence, complexity and freshness on the palate.
