Castello di Querceto 2021 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is delicate, precise, fresh and combines fruity, spicy and toasted notes. It expresses aromas of red cherry, raspberry, tangy strawberry, sweet morello cherry and crushed strawberry, combined with notes of vanilla (even cinnamon in the background), liquorice, nutmeg, as well as cocoa, toasted almond, and coffee in the background. After aeration, we also find gourmet notes of chocolate morello cherry, ripe black plum and wild mint, as well as tonka bean and peony. The palate offers concentration, a gourmet touch of chocolate on the attack, as well as a juicy and ripe fried material. It expresses notes of morello cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, red cherry, as well as chocolate morello cherry, toasted almond, coffee, liquorice, cinnamon in the background, vanilla, peony and wild mint. The tannins are velvety and well-built. Good acidity with a touch of bergamot. The finish is medium-length, with notes of sweet spices and dark chocolate.
