Castello di Poppiano – Guicciardini, Vin Santo della Torre Grande 2012 – Vinsanto del Chianti

The nose offers a certain concentration, a stretched side and offers deepness as well as a peppery side. It reveals notes of dried quince, candied kumquat and small notes of toasted almond associated with touches of tobacco, flowers and slight hints of spices. The palate is fruity and offers precision, tension, an acidulous frame as well as a good work on the good bitters. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon, dried zest and small notes of sweet kumquat associated with touches of fresh tobacco, fresh leather and a hint of roasted almond. Good length. Good work on good bitters. A floral/pistil side.
