The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers ripe and gourmand fruit, complemented by sweet spices, herbaceous freshness and a touch of dark chocolate. It expresses in particular the aromas of ripe wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, wild blackberry, cranberry jam, ripe red plum, morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, licorice, cloves, a touch of toasted hazelnut and of smoke, refreshing aromas of peppermint, menthol and pine needles, as well as fresh flowers (cornflower, violet, wild rose). We also find a hint of minerality (limestone) and a touch of leather, cocoa and fresh tobacco in the background. The palate offers juiciness and crunchy fruit (wild strawberry, wild blackberry, fresh bigarreau cherry, fresh raspberry, fresh blackcurrant, a touch of bitterness from cranberries and pink grapefruit in the background), combined with notes of sweet spices (cumin, liquorice, a touch of toasted vanilla), toasted hazelnut in the background, with the smoky side of bergamot, as well as floral (violet, wild rose, cornflower) and herbaceous notes (peppermint, cut rosemary). The tannins are firm and have a fine and elegant texture. Beautiful acidity on the finish, good persistence on bitterness and freshness. A wine with complexity, fruit and structure, but closed at the moment.
