The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is discreet, finely spicy and herbaceous, with a tangy but gourmand fruitiness. It expresses notes of ripe strawberry, crushed raspberry, ripe red currant, juicy red cherry, cranberry jam and red plum, combined with sweet notes of vanilla, chocolate with mint, as well as a spiciness of black pepper, liquorice and ground cloves. We also find discreet notes of fresh tobacco and toasted oak in the background. On the palate, the wine offers fruit, salivating acidity, firm, slightly drying tannins, as well as a rather persistent finish, with a slight bitterness of cranberries and a smoky touch of bergamot. It expresses the flavors of tangy strawberry, crushed raspberry, cranberries, wild plum with its tannic touch, fresh blackcurrant and tangy blueberry, combined with notes of dried mint, thyme (in the background), dried basil, with a hint of pine sap, sweet spices in the background (liquorice, ground cloves) and a fine floral bouquet (rose, lily, peony). The finish is tight and expresses the astringency of young tannins, as well as a good bitterness.
