The wine has a pale ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose offers juiciness, concentration and sweet notes of macerated fruit, as well as a gourmand spiciness. It expresses in particular the aromas of dried red cherry, red cherry in kirsch, ripe morello cherry, black plum (with a touch of prunes in alcohol), crushed wild strawberry, wild blackberry and candied blackcurrant (even crème de cassis), combined with notes of dark chocolate with mint, liquorice, cumin seeds, crushed coriander seeds, roasted bouquet garni, infused black tea, fresh tobacco, wet leaves and undergrowth (in the background), dried rose, fresh basil, balsamic cream and tapenade. The palate offers powerful, but silky tannins enveloped in ripe and juicy fruitiness and round, but refreshing acidity. It expresses the flavors of candied red cherry and red cherry in kirsch, crushed blackcurrant (with a touch of crème de cassis), crushed wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, mountain ash and wild black plum, with a hint of prunes in alcohol. We also find some spiciness (liquorice, ground cumin, crushed coriander seeds), floral hints (dried rose), a touch of torrefaction (toasted hazelnut, coffee), as well as notes of balsamic cream, dried mint and a mineral and earthy note, which expresses itself in a drying and chalky sensation at the end of the mouth. The finish is persistent, juicy, sapid and salivating. Power, a nice fruitiness, concentration and freshness.
