The wine has a deep ruby color, with slight purplish reflections. The nose is aromatic, lively and fruity. It expresses notes of fresh and tangy red and black fruits (bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, red plum, black plum, raspberry, cranberries, a touch of amarena cherry), associated with a touch of balsamic, green olive, as well as with a herbaceous hint (wild mint, bay leaf, rosemary, a touch of blackcurrant leaf, tobacco), spicy notes (liquorice, grated nutmeg, a touch of vanilla, clove) and a floral aroma (withered rose), combined with a resinous and smoky note in the background. The palate is gourmand, juicy and fruity. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, red currants, raspberry, crushed strawberry, as well as a touch of blackcurrant in the background. We also find notes of delicate notes of torrefaction (cocoa, coffee, toasted), sweet spices (liquorice, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg), herbs (roasted bouquet garni, dried peppermint) and balsamic. The tannins are structured, fine, a bit grippy, but enveloped. The finish is persistent and gourmand, with a sweet touch of cherry in chocolate and chocolate with mint, combined with good bitterness and salivating acidity.
