(organic) The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The nose is precise, fruity, toasted, and spicy. It initially expresses aromas of tart red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, and blackcurrant, combined with notes of liquorice, crushed cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, as well as toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, cocoa nibs, and coffee. There are also notes of fresh wild mint, tobacco, and brewed black tea, as well as wilted rose and lilac. The palate offers precision, tension, and a tangy fruitiness in its flavors of fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and blackcurrant, combined with tart and bitter cranberry notes. There are also hints of black pepper, liquorice, crushed coriander seeds, as well as toast, a hint of smoke, tobacco, crushed mint, peony and faded rose. The finish is finely tight, but juicy and gourmand, with a tangy side of red cherry, good acidity and persistence, fine and well-structured tannins.
