Castellinuzza 2020 – Chianti Classico

Castellinuzza 2020 – Chianti Classico

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and gourmand, fruity, slightly spicy and herbaceous. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry (with a touch of roasted cherry in the background), fresh morello cherry, candied blackcurrant, cranberries, as well as a slightly tannic and textured touch of mountain ash and wild plum. There is also a hint of clove, dried basil, thyme, fresh black olive, balsamic and black tea in the background, combined with a floral touch of dried rose. The palate is tangy and chiseled on the attack, which develops towards the tangy notes of bigarreau cherry and the bitterness of pink grapefruit in the mid-palate. It also expresses the flavors of fresh raspberry, crunchy strawberry, fresh blackcurrant, crushed blueberry, morello cherry and mountain ash, associated with notes of fresh basil, infused black tea, a fine smoky side of bergamot and a touch of dried rose. The tannins are fine, a little grippy on the finish, but quite delicate. A salivating acidity and good bitterness bring a lot of freshness to the finish. A straightforward, incisive wine, with a gourmand nose and a chiseled palate.
