The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers tension and precision, but is a bit reserved at first. After aeration, it expresses notes of dried aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary, mint), tobacco, sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, grated nutmeg), as well as a floral bouquet (dried cornflower, rose), a limestone mineral framework, and a hint of roasting (toasted hazelnut, coffee, toasted wood). The palate is enveloping, juicy, and airy. It expresses notes of morello cherry in chocolate, fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, cranberry background, raspberry, as well as toasted hazelnut, cocoa, dried bouquet garni, dried rose, and cornflower. The tannins are well-built, solid, and fine, with a cocoa-like and powdery texture. The finish is delicate, fruity (dried cherry) with a slight hint of tobacco and mouth-watering acidity. Nice concentration of elegance.
