Castelfeder – Lagrein Riserva 2021, Burgum Novum – Alto Adige Riserva DOC

The nose is beautifully elegant, deli-cate, floral, deep and accessible at the same time and offers a certain concentration. It reveals notes of concentrated blueberry, blackberry and small notes of juniper berries, associated with touches of bigarreau cherry, cornflower, small roasted-elegant red fruits, hints of infusion, as well as depth, notes of bergamot, sage and a subtle hint of spices. The palate is well-built, precise and presents energy, straightness, a tracing side, good definition, precision and suppleness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy cassis and small notes of small black berries, combined with touches of morello cherry, as well as hints of vio-let, camphor, tobacco, volcanic rock/tangy and hints of small juicy fruits and cherry in the background. Good length. We also perceive hints of star anise, roasted almond and cardamom. Juicy, tracing and gourmand wine.
