Cascina Morassino – Barbaresco DOCG 2018 Morassino

On the nose it is fruity, elegant, aromatic and offers precision, a certain delicacy as well as power in finesse. It reveals notes of Bigarreau cherry, luscious raspberry and more slightly of fairly ripe wild red berries associated with a touch of blackberry, cornflowers, lilac as well as discreet hints of rosemary, local grove and tea. Black. On the palate it is fruity and offers tension in finesse, a certain energy, suavity as well as balance. The wine expresses notes of bright Bigarreau cherry, Boysen blackberry and more lightly juicy Damascus plum associated with small touches of lilac, oleander, a subtle hint of sense of place, crushed berry fruits as well as a very discreet hint of almond and black tea. The tannins are precise and racy. Good length and persistence.
