The nose is fine, complex and offers a small gourmandise. The wine needs to be served in carafe. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed berries and small notes of cherry associated with fine toasted touches, garrigue, nutmeg, spices as well as a discreet hint of dried black olive and menthol. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-defined, elegant, (very) slightly tight and offers a small suavity, finesse as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy Bigarreau cherry, ripe/juicy wild black berries and small notes of wild strawberry associated with a touch of raspberry, subtle hints of sweet spices, toasted bread as well as a hint of dried black olive, garrigue and a very discreet / imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Tannins are fine, slightly chewy as well as elegant.
