The nose is elegant, racy, gourmand and offers a fine freshness as well as a fine concentration. It reveals notes of fleshy plum, blackberry and small notes of fleshy/crushed strawberry associated with a touch of violet as well as hints of sweet spices and a very discreet hint of bud. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine juiciness, a mineral frame as well as a beautiful ripe but juicy fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of acidulous violet plum, bigarreau cherry and small notes of small berries associated with fine touches of flowers, liquorice stick as well as a hint of mild tobacco, tonka bean and a very discreet hint of clove (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. There are fine hints of chocolate and hazelnut on the finish/persistence.
