Cascina Ballarin – Bricco Rocca 2010, Riserva Tistot 2010 – Barolo 

The nose is elegant, racy and offers a fine richness (in the background). It reveals notes of very ripe wild strawberry, blackberry and chocolate associated with touches of red fruits, fine hints of toasted, mushroom/underground and nutmeg. The palate is mineral, very slightly tight, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a mineral frame (racy mineral), elegance as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe wild strawberry, ripe cherry and small notes of blackberry associated with a touch of flowers, a fine touch of crushed plum as well as hints of underwood, chocolate, toasted /caramelized oak and a slight hint of clove.
