Casali del Toppello Cornaletto 2022 – Umbria IGT Rosato

The wine has a pale orange (antique pink) color. The nose is gourmand, juicy and expresses above all the notes of stone fruits (apricot, yellow peach, yellow plum), with a refreshing touch of citrus which appears on the second nose (clementine, orange peel), associated with a floral bouquet (linden, orange blossom). We also find a distinguished and expressive minerality in a limestone note, even flint smoke, and a touch of fresh hazelnut. The palate is enveloping, with an oily texture, balanced by a good bitterness, delicate, but perceptible (bitter orange, grapefruit). We also find stone fruit flavors (apricot, yellow peach, yellow plum). The finish is quite persistent, with the tanginess of citrus fruits (fresh orange and orange zest), a subtle minerality, less present, than on the nose and a nice acidity. A pleasant and gourmand wine.
