Casali del Toppello Amantius 2019 – Umbria IGT Rosso

(Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Merlot) The nose is gourmand, juicy, slightly sweet and tangy. It expresses notes of morello cherry, fresh strawberry, dried strawberry, blackcurrant and black plum, combined with touches of mint, liquorice, menthol, cocoa, prunes and nutmeg. The mouth is concentrated and tangy. It expresses flavors of morello cherry, black plum, prunes, blackcurrant, and red cherry, associated with touches of prunes, liquorice, cumin, dried mint and a good bitterness. The finish is persistent, tangy, with fine and velvety tannins. Good acidity and good persistence on the palate.
