Casa Ferreirinha – Papa Figos 2015 – Douro

The nose is fruity, fine and offers a slight richness. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, cassis, hint of flowers, grove/olive tree associated with discreet hints of spices as well as an imperceptible hint oh gray pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, relatively silky and offers a small freshness as well as a mineral frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of plum, small berries associated with a hint of redcurrant, slight notes of liquorice, hints of tobacco, tea and slight notes of toasted oak/caramelized oak and a discreet hint of gray pepper. Good length and persistence.
