The wine has a deep ruby color, with purplish reflections. The first nose expresses pronounced resinous notes (pine sap, dried pine needles), which disappear after aeration. We then find the aromas of peppermint, fresh rosemary and a fresh fruitiness (griotte, juicy red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, fresh blackcurrant, blueberry), notes of sweet spices (liquorice, cumin), a touch of toasted wood, coffee, and a fine floral bouquet (dried rose, dried cornflower). The palate offers a tangy and chiseled attack, with structured and tight tannins. It expresses the flavors of red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, blueberry and crushed raspberry, combined with floral touches (dried rose, cornflower, peony), spiciness (liquorice, cumin, a hint of white pepper), dried mint, coffee, toasted hazelnuts and dark chocolate in the background. The tannins have a fine grain and a tight structure on the finish. The finish is persistent, delicately mineral and minty, pleasantly juicy on the finish. A gourmet, round and accessible wine, with good structure, refreshing acidity, as well as a certain concentration and complexity.
