The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is floral, finely spicy and herbaceous, with a mineral limestone touch in the background. It expresses notes of fresh rose, lilac, rosehip and peony, combined with a subtle touch of crushed peppermint, fresh tobacco, bay berries and fresh thyme and a fine spiciness (licorice, cardamom, crushed, coriander seeds in the background). We also find aromas of fresh fruit (red cherry, crunchy strawberry, crushed raspberry, crushed blueberry, red plum), as well as a touch of fresh hazelnut in the background. On the palate, the wine offers sapidity, grippy tannins, even drying on the finish, as well as a very lively and pleasant acidity, which helps balance the firmness of the tannins. It expresses notes of tart bigarreau cherry, crushed blueberry, crushed raspberry and red plum, combined with notes of aromatic herbs (roasted thyme, bay leaf, tobacco), flowers (dried rose, lilac) and sweet spices (nutmeg, white pepper, licorice in the background), as well as a touch of cocoa and torrefaction (toasted almond). The finish is tight and firm, with powerful, even drying, tannins. A chiseled, straight wine, with a certain complexity, but young and closed.
