Carruades de Lafite 2022 – Pauillac

The nose is fresh, mineral, racy with a nice graphite or even fresh chalky side. There is a certain small intensity or even power. We have notes of crushed blackberries, violet and slight notes of bright bigarreaux cherries associated with fine hints of smoke and toast. The palate is mineral with freshness and tension. There is juiciness with a mineral framework. We find notes of juicy and pulpy blackberries, bright bigarreaux cherries and more slightly pulpy purple plums associated with touches of star anise, small fresh and juicy red fruits as well as hints of racy minerality, a subtle sappy and a discreet iodized or even oceanic touch. The tannins are fresh and there is a certain straightness with a sapid persistence.
