Carpineto, Poggio Sant’Enrico 2015 – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

Lovely, gourmand nose that offers softness, a lovely definition, precision and a certain depth. It reveals notes of ripe wild raspberry, blackberry and small notes of olive tree associated with smoky touches as well as fine hints of star anise and a subtle hint of sage. The palate is nicely mineral, balanced and offers freshness, accuracy, a little tension as well as gourmandise. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh wild raspberry and small notes of small wild red berries associated with touches of aromatic herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage) as well as a hint of olive tree, a hint of tobacco, black olive and a subtle hint of smoke.
