The wine shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is slightly muted, with aeration revealing notes of savoury herbs, cinnamon, as well as crunchy red cherries, hints of iron and raw meat. The palate offers a refreshing, tangy acidity and chalky, very sticky tannins. It opens up with notes of tomato leaf, sage, combined with red berries and some herbaceous quality. The finish is slightly bitter.
