The first nose expresses the aroma of pronounced dry stone and dry earth, which develops towards a concentrated fruitiness, which combines notes of fresh ripe fruit, jam and dried fruit. We find notes of blackcurrant jam, fresh blackcurrant, morello cherry, dried red cherry, fresh black plum and dried plum, as well as a touch of dried mint and dried peony. The palate offers a very fine grain of tannins, a lively and salivating acidity as well as a tangy fruity side, with more fresh fruit than on the nose. We find notes of red cherry, cranberries, morello cherry, blackcurrant, wild black plum and dried cherry, completed by a mineral (dry stone) and floral (dried peony) touch. The finish is moderately persistent, chiseled and tangy, with good bitterness and a touch of dry bay leaf. A lively and straightforward wine.
