The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is expressive, tangy and fruity. It expresses notes of juicy red cherry, morello cherry, cranberries, crushed raspberry, and a hint of fresh blueberry. After aeration, we find notes of roasted cherry, crushed blackcurrant, crushed mint leaf, liquorice, nutmeg, a slight hint of star anise, as well as a fragrant floral bouquet (rose petals, violet, fresh peony) and very delicate touches of bitter cocoa, tar and bergamot in the background. The palate is juicy, with a solid structure, lively acidity and plenty of freshness. It expresses the tangy notes of red cherry, cranberries, raspberry and fresh cherry, associated with herbaceous hints (crushed mint, even blackcurrant leaf), fresh flowers (rose petals, a hint of cornflower, violet), bitter cocoa in the background and sweet spices (liquorice, a touch of cardamom, nutmeg). Tannins are solid, structured and slightly bitter, but have a fine grain. The finish is tangy, salivating and quite persistent. A wine with potential, but closed for the moment.
