The nose is fruity, fresh, finely powerful and offers a beautiful finesse. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and fine touches of plum associated with discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, aerial and offers freshness, a great finesse, a fine juiciness, a good structure, a good fat, suavity and delicacy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, juicy Quetsche plum and discreet touches of fresh red fruit, very fine notes of Zan associated with a hint of cardamom, sweet spices, slight touches of cornflower, a discreet hint of cinnamon as well as touches of toasted oak, licorice, (very) slight hints of dried red fruit (on the finish) and a discreet touch of mocha. Tannins are fine, firm and slightly dry but we forgive. Good length.
