The nose is racy, precise, chiseled and offers some intensity and depth. It expresses notes of camphor, volcanic rock and, more slightly, pepper associated with touches of small wild black fruits and a fine hint of bay leaf. The mouth is juicy and offers pulp, freshness, a nice minerality and energy, a good job on the good bitters. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed cassis and, more slightly, bright wild cherry associated with touches of iris, bay leaf, racy minerality as well as an almost rooty hint in the background and balsamic. The tannins are structuring.
