The wine has a brilliant ruby color, of medium intensity. The nose is fruity and offers concentration and juiciness. It expresses notes of fresh morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry, kirsche red cherry, red cherry jam, raspberry jelly, as well as a touch of balsamic cream, prunes, dark chocolate, of chocolate with mint, clove, peony and iris, combined with notes of thyme and fresh rosemary. The palate is ripe, concentrated and expresses a rich fruitiness, as well as a firm and grippy tannic structure. It expresses the flavors of morello cherry, wild black plum, crushed blackcurrant, kirsched red cherry, red cherry jam, raspberry coulis and wild strawberry, combined with notes of dark chocolate with mint and prunes in chocolate, cloves, cumin, balsamic cream, coffee (with a good bitterness) and flowers (peony, dried rose). The finish is tight and expresses the dry side of the tannins, softened by a salivating acidity. A powerful and fleshy wine, a bit austere.
