The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is reserved and delicate. It expresses notes of dried red fruits (dried strawberry, dried raspberry, dried red cherry), very ripe fresh fruits (griotte, wild plum, crushed blackcurrant, see crème de cassis), sweet spices (licorice, ground cumin, white pepper), a sweet touch of dark chocolate, as well as herbaceous notes of black tea, dried mint, dried rosemary and dried basil. In the background, we also find a fine note of undergrowth and balsamic. On the palate, the attack is quite open and fruity, the mid-palate is rather tannic and firm, and the finish is gourmand, with a salivating acidity. The wine expresses notes of dried red cherry, dried raspberry, ripe wild strawberry, blackcurrant, as well as a touch of chocolate with mint, sweet spices (cloves, a hint of licorice and vanilla), a fragrant floral bouquet (fresh and dried peony, dried rose) and herbaceous notes of dried mint, basil and oregano. The tannins have a fine grain, as well as a firm structure. The finish is juicy and persistent, with notes of dried red fruits and a touch of menthol.
